New for 2nd semester: 2nd chance breakfast! Breakfast is served from
9:47 - 9:58 daily for students in grades 6-12. Over 80 breakfasts have been served each day this week. Students LOVE 2nd chance breakfast.
One breakfast per day is free to all students. Students wishing to eat two breakfasts will be charged for the 2nd breakfast.

CONGRATULATIONS to Emma Severson for being selected as the Sub-section 22 female AAA (Academics, Arts, Athletics) Award Winner. This selection recognizes and honors high school seniors
who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field and in a fine arts activity such as theater, speech, music, or debate. Emma will move on to the regional selection process on February 2. We are extremely proud of you Emma!!!

SNOW DAY = Henning School is CLOSED on Friday, January 14 due to the inclement weather.
GREAT NEWS! Parent-Teacher-Conferences will now be IN-PERSON on January 17 & January 19 from 3:30-7:00. Parents can still choose to have their conference via teleconference. If you would like to keep your conference in the teleconference format, please call the school office or communicate with the teacher directly (our Prek-5 teachers have sent home a paper form for communication purposes). If your conference was originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 16, your new date is Monday, January 17 at the previous scheduled time. If your conference was originally scheduled for Thursday, November 18, your new date is Wednesday, January 19 at the previous scheduled time.

The Henning Girls Basketball Game tonight at WDC has been moved up 30 minutes. The JV game will begin at 5:30 followed by the varsity game at approximately 7:00 pm.
OTC Wrestling for tonight has been cancelled.

The preschoolers had a blast “chasing” the gingerbread man cookies that escaped from the oven! We followed clues that eventually led us back to our classroom for a delicious snack of gingerbread cookies and milk!

Our Elementary students had fun being entertained at The Sons of Norway program. Students were excited to be part of the program.




The Henning 3rd and 4th graders received their early Christmas gifts with the helping hands of Donna Geiser, Gail Guse, and MaryAnn Wilke. The students cut, folded, and sewed their fleece hats and will keep their ears nice and warm this winter! The students also learned about recycling and how the very hats they were putting together were made with recycled plastic!
