We had the privilege of hosting Dr. Graeme R.A. Wyllie, chemistry professor at Concordia University, for an engaging day of science with our middle and high school students! 🧪✨
Students participated in hands-on experiments focused on creating bioplastics while learning how these sustainable materials can make a positive impact on our environment. 🌎💡
Thank you, Dr. Wyllie, for sharing your expertise and inspiring curiosity in our students!

Learning in motion! 🚀

Our 8th grade scientists are putting their knowledge to the test by exploring key concepts like Newton’s Laws of Motion, simple machines, and projectile motion—all through hands-on experimentation with catapults!

Students tested three different launch angles (30°, 45°, and 60°) and experimented with long and short plastic spoons to see how far their mini marshmallows would travel. Along the way, they analyzed distance, accuracy, and how force and angle impact motion.

Through trial, error, and a little bit of fun, students discovered which catapult setup was the most effective—and why!

We are excited to recognize World Autism Awareness Day on Thursday, April 2nd as a time to celebrate the uniqueness, strengths, and contributions of individuals with autism!

To show our support and promote understanding, we invite everyone to participate by wearing blue or rainbow colors. Blue represents autism awareness, while rainbow colors celebrate the diversity and individuality within the autism community.

This day is an opportunity to foster kindness, acceptance, and inclusion in our school community. We encourage conversations with students about embracing differences and appreciating what makes each person unique.

Thank you for helping us create a supportive and inclusive environment for all!
