Today we celebrate National Substitute Educators Day, a moment to recognize the incredible individuals who step in with flexibility, patience, and positivity whenever they’re needed!

Our substitute educators play a vital role in keeping learning moving forward. They adapt quickly, support students with care, and ensure classrooms remain positive and productive. Their willingness to show up, often at a moment’s notice, makes a tremendous difference in our school community.

To all of our substitutes: thank you for your dedication, your adaptability, and the steady support you provide to both students and staff. We are grateful for everything you do!

As we wrap up American Education Week, we want to extend our appreciation to every member of our school community: teachers, support staff, administrators, substitutes, and everyone in between. Your commitment to students makes Henning Public School a place where learning, growth, and connection can thrive. Thank you for all you do, today and every day!

As we continue our American Education Week celebration, we want to recognize and thank the incredible support staff who keep our school running strong each and every day.

To our office staff — thank you for your organization, communication, and behind-the-scenes work to ensure that our school stays connected, supported, and running smoothly.

To our kitchen staff — thank you for preparing warm, nutritious meals that fuel our students and staff for a full day of learning.

To our bus drivers — your commitment to safely transporting our students is the very first and last part of their school day, and we are so grateful for the care you show.

To our custodians — your hard work keeps our building clean, safe, and welcoming, creating an environment where students can learn and thrive. (Also special shout-out to our event cleaners, Jennifer Beck and Bill Balfanz!)

Each of you plays a vital role in our school community, and we are deeply appreciative of your dedication, service, and heart. Thank you for all that you do!

Our 6th graders recently learned how to create clay coil bowls, spending plenty of time making sure each one was sturdy, free of holes, and carefully glazed to be fully functional. To put their craftsmanship to the test, the class held the ultimate trial—a cereal party to see how well their bowls held up in action!
