Our 3rd grade students had an exciting opportunity to learn from our very own Otter Tail Power Company! ⚡
During the presentation, students explored the many different careers involved in providing electricity to our communities and learned important safety tips about electric lines. They even got to see powerful demonstrations showing what can happen when proper caution isn’t used.
It was a fun and eye-opening experience that helped our students better understand both safety and the important work happening right here in our area. Thank you, Otter Tail Power, for sharing your time and expertise with us!

The 8th grade Physical Science students put their engineering skills to the test by designing and building STEM Cars! 🚗
Each car had to meet specific criteria for mass and dimensions, challenging students to think critically, problem-solve, and apply what they’ve learned in class.
Race day brought plenty of excitement and some close competition! After several rounds, Mr. Hart took first place, making sure the students knew who the real champion is 😃🏁

Students in the library recently took on a STEAM challenge by building card towers! Their goal was to design and construct the tallest, most stable structure using only a deck of cards. Activities like this help students practice problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and perseverance as they test ideas and learn from trial and error.
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, and these subjects come together through hands-on challenges that encourage students to think critically and creatively.
Our library regularly hosts STEAM activities that give students the opportunity to explore, build, experiment, and learn in fun and engaging ways. We love seeing the creativity and collaboration that these challenges bring out in our students!
