The Henning 3rd and 4th graders received their early Christmas gifts with the helping hands of Donna Geiser, Gail Guse, and MaryAnn Wilke. The students cut, folded, and sewed their fleece hats and will keep their ears nice and warm this winter! The students also learned about recycling and how the very hats they were putting together were made with recycled plastic!

Due to the unfortunate increase in COVID-19 cases amongst our students, families and staff over the weekend, the decision has been made to postpone our Parent-Teacher Conference nights this week to later dates (To-Be-Determined). This is a precautionary approach to help fight the spread of COVID-19 amongst our staff, students and families. We will communicate the rescheduled dates at least a week in advance from the new dates. *All known school related close contacts have been communicated with families at this time.

5th grade students recently had the opportunity to travel to Ottertail to check out the Ottertail County Sheriff Department's CSI equipment. The 5th graders recently completed a Crime scene investigation where they used different scientific powder tests to determine who stole a missing cake. They also learned some of the processes in which evidence, data, and information are collected and the proper way to handle and present these findings.

Mrs. Feda's Kindergartner class is using seasonal materials in their learning (and having quite a bit of fun in the process). The pumpkin pounding is building their fine motor skills and the fall leaf painting provides the opportunity for exploration with mixing basic colors to create new colors.
