Hey Henning School Families!!! We want to make you aware that the meals that are being delivered - are FREE to ALL our families. All children have the ability to receive a free breakfast and lunch throughout the week at no cost to your family. We just need you to communicate with us and complete the proper paperwork to be added to our delivery list. Starting Monday, March 23 we will drop off meals for multiple days at a time. Please place a cooler by your door for items to be placed in. Please try to keep pets away from our delivery personnel and understand that we will not be handing food directly to someone hand-to-hand, this is why the cooler is important. All foods are fully cooked and properly prepared. Delivery times are between 10:30-12:45. Stay STRONG Henning School Families!

The Food Service department has been very busy preparing, bagging, and delivering over 142 breakfasts and lunches every day to children in the Henning area. The para professionals are helping our department do this important work every day. We couldn't do it without you! We are working hard to provide healthy, nutritionally balanced meals for the children in our area.

Early Childhood Family Education is cancelled for Tuesday, March 17 and will not be in session until school resumes back at the schoolhouse.

ARVIG is stepping up to help out families without internet. This program is available to families who live in the Arvig service area and currently do not have any internet service at their residence Any internet speed available will be offered free-of-charge, including wi-fi service if needed To qualify for free service, they must be a new customer, have no bad debt with Arvig and sign up for paperless statements The service will remain free until the 2019/2020 school year concludes unless they call to disconnect their service and return equipment Unfortunately, if we are unable to deliver 5 Mbps speed to their residence, we won’t be able to offer them this program We will prioritize service installations for low-income families. Verification of need may be provided via a conference call with the school

Good Morning Henning Public School Family – it has been announced by Govern Walz that all Minnesota Schools will be shut down from March 18th – March 27th with a return to school Monday, March 30th. I understand this creates numerous issues for our families; rest assured our team is working on plans to continue to meet the needs of our students during the shutdown. I know there are several questions at this time; as soon as I learn more information I will be sure to communicate with our school family. This will be a very challenging situation for all of us, but we are fortunate to have an amazing staff, students, and communities – we will get through this!

Effectively Immediately Friday, March 13, 2020 10:45 a.m. The Minnesota State High School League is immediately cancelling the Girls Basketball State Tournament. Additionally, all Boys Section and State Basketball Tournaments have been cancelled. Section Speech Tournament events for the week of March 15-21 have been postponed indefinitely. Additional details and information on other upcoming events including Spring Activities will be shared later today.

**Notice** Statement on Minnesota State High School League Postseason Tournament and COVID-19: The Minnesota State High School League, relying on information from the Minnesota Department of Health, will limit the number of people at tournaments beginning Friday, March 13, 2020. This decision will impact Girls Basketball Semifinals and Finals, the Adapted Floor Hockey Tournament, and Section Boys Basketball games. As the COVID-19 situation is rapidly evolving, plans for events held after this weekend are still being developed and will be communicated at a later date.
