Hello, January! ❄️ A new month, a fresh start, and lots of great things ahead here at Henning Public School!
Welcome back, students and staff! After a well-deserved winter break, we’re excited to jump back into learning, growing, and achieving together. Here’s to a fantastic start to the new year!

Wishing all of our students, staff, and families a joyful and restful holiday break filled with special moments and time to recharge.

Activities Update (12/18/25):
The Junior High Boys Basketball game against Bertha-Hewitt scheduled for tonight has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. In addition, Varsity Girls Basketball at Lake Park–Audubon has been postponed.

There’s always something fun happening in the library! From sewing projects to handwork groups, the Henning School and Community Library is a welcoming space for creativity, learning, and community.
Reminder: The library is open Mondays–Thursdays from 3:30–5:30 PM, with extended hours on Wednesdays until 7:00 PM. The library is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM through May (excluding holiday weekends).

Our kindergarten–5th graders enjoyed engaging, hands-on presentations about dinosaurs and engineering. From fossils to design challenges, our students were inspired, curious, and excited to learn!
