The Henning School will NOT be hosting an in-person sports meeting prior to fall activities beginning! Again, there will be NO MEETING!!
Fall Sports will start on Monday, August 15, 2022:
🏃♂️🏃♀️Cross Country (7-12) - 1st practice will be on Monday, August 15 starting at 8:00 am in Battle Lake at the track! Bus will leave Henning at 7:15 am!
🏈 Football (9-12) - 1st practice will be on Monday, August 15 starting at 8:00 am in Battle Lake! Bus will leave Henning at 7:15 am!
🏐 Volleyball (9-12) - 1st practice will be on Monday, August 15 starting at 5:30 pm!
🏐 Junior High Volleyball (7-8) - 1st practice will be on Monday, August 22 starting at 5:30 pm!
🏈 Junior High Football (7-8) - Equipment handout will be on Tuesday, August 23 at 6:00 pm.
🏈 Junior High Football (7-8) - 1st practice will be on Wednesday, August 24 at 8:00 am in Battle Lake! Bus will leave Henning at 7:15 am!
Prior to participation in practices all athletes MUST have the following completed:
➖️ MSHSL Physical (they are good for three years)
➖️ MSHSL Eligibility Forms (must be updated every year)
➖️ Pay Activity Fees
You can stop by the District Office Monday-Thursday from 7:00 am - 4:30 pm to get the paperwork and pay for your activity fees.
Randy Misegades will also be available on Tuesday, August 9 and Thursday August 11 from 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM in the High School Gym Lobby if anyone has questions.

For a quick and fun reading event, join Mrs. Jorgenson, one of our 2nd grade teachers, at the Henning Landmark Center, 7:00pm, Wednesday, July 6th. Snacks and a craft will follow! Bring a copy of your Dally book for her to sign.

Students in grades 7-12 participated in Day of Caring. This special day is made possible through the leadership of the Henning National Honor Society. This year students and staff cleaned up sections of highway, the Veterans Park, Festival Grounds, Amundson Park, Inspiration Point, Willow Creek, Our Home Your Home, Luther Island Camp, and the Hollow. Great job NHS students, student body, and staff!

Senior Spotlight: Emma Severson
The Henning Prom is Saturday, April 30 at Thumper Pond - Grand March begins at 6:30 p.m.
The Henning School had a False Fire Alarm today. We had one our students pull the fire alarm, which caused our building to evacuate for about nine (9) minutes.
Our 4th and 5th grade Math Masters teams represented Henning in Staples this week. This was the first year the competition included 4th grade. The teams had a challenging and fun experience. We are all so proud of you!
Our threes/fours classes are hard at it again- this time as paleontologists in training. "Dinosaur extinction" and "fossil" discovery take time and patience. The students learned a lot about dinosaurs through the different activities that they did in the classroom.
