SUN Bucks are back this summer! Henning Public School is excited to share that eligible families will receive $40 per month per child (up to $120 total) through the Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) program to help purchase healthy food during the summer months. If your child qualifies for programs like SNAP, MFIP, Medicaid, or free/reduced-price meals, you’re automatically enrolled—no extra paperwork is needed. If you ordered plants through the Summer Rec. plant fundraiser, please plan to pick them up today (Friday, May 9) between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Tony Kawlewski Field in Henning.
Note: This pickup is for those who placed orders—not the kids who were selling the plants. Thanks for your support!

On April 25, our 5th Grade Math Masters team proudly represented our school at the Staples competition, joining 65 talented students from neighboring districts. Congratulations to Eli Reinbold! On Sunday, April 27, Eli was named one of ten recipients of a $1,000 scholarship from the Heart O’ Lakes High School Fishing League during the League’s kickoff night in Fergus Falls. To be eligible, student anglers had to apply and meet specific criteria. Eli proudly represented the Henning Fishing League, where he was a dedicated member for two seasons. Well done, Eli!!

The REACH class was grateful to welcome Jenny Lynch and Andy Eckhoff from First National Bank of Henning for two informative visits. They generously shared their financial expertise and offered valuable advice on protecting our money. Students engaged in thoughtful discussions and asked great questions about topics like phishing, CDs, debit cards, and even retirement accounts.
