The 5th graders recently took a trip to Ottertail to explore the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department’s CSI equipment! After wrapping up their own classroom Crime Scene Investigation—where they used forensic powder testing to identify who stole a missing cake—students were excited to see real-world tools in action. They also learned how evidence, data, and information are collected, handled, and presented professionally. It was a great hands-on extension of their forensic science unit!
