6th Grade Itasca State Park Trip
Our 6th grade students spent the day exploring Itasca State Park!

Their adventure began at the Jacob Bauer Visitor Center, where they met with the DNR Naturalist and explored the park’s exhibits. From there, they visited the historic cabin and timber-hauling sleigh before heading to the Mississippi River to learn about the area’s history and different time periods.

After the educational tour, students enjoyed lunch, a stop at the gift shop, crossing the Mississippi headwaters, and even a quick swim before returning to Henning!
