5th Grade Walker Lake Fish Hatchery Field Trip

The Henning 5th graders had an amazing day at Walker Lake Fish Hatchery in Dent for Conservation Day! They explored six hands-on stations that focused on forestry, water quality, recycling, soil, riverfronts, and the fish hatchery. Students learned how the DNR helps repopulate fish like our state fish—the walleye—and why clean water, healthy soil, and recycling are all essential for a thriving environment!
