Mrs. Wiese and Mrs. Quammen launched an exciting reading challenge for our K-5 students: read an extra 20 minutes each day for 20 days. Our young readers rose to the occasion, with 64% of students participating and logging an impressive total of 37 additional hours of reading!
To celebrate their achievement, students were treated to a Hot Cocoa Party. In preparation, Mrs. Wiese and Mrs. Quammen collected 200 mugs and mixed up 2 gallons of hot chocolate. During the event, Mrs. Quammen read aloud to the students and shared a lesson on the vital role bees play in our food supply—along with ways we can all help protect them.
