Mr. Emter and Mrs. Wohlwend’s fourth-grade students are embarking on a hands-on, eco-friendly project to turn used crayons and pencil shavings from classrooms into fire starters for bonfires. This project combines science and literacy, helping students learn about recycling, combustion, and persuasive communication. Each student will even create a short commercial to “sell” their fire starter!
