🚴♀️ Our 4th and 5th grade students are currently participating in a bike safety unit with Physical Education teacher, Mr. Speer. 🚴♀️
The Henning School shares a bike fleet with the New York Mills School as part of a Minnesota Department of Transpiration grant that allowed for the purchase of 40 mountain bikes and an enclosed trailer to haul the bikes. Additional contributions from Perham Health, PartnerSHIP 4 Health, and Otter Tail County staff have helped make this opportunity available for our students.
During the bike safety unit, students are learning how to properly size a bike, the importance of wearing helmets, learning hand signals, and bike safety rules.
