Mrs. Haugdahl
My name is Jenny Haugdahl, better known as Mrs. H. by my students. I moved here in 2016 after marrying my husband, Gary. We have six adult children, and we love being grandparents! My hobbies include playing tennis, golf, walking, biking, reading, gardening and playing cribbage.
After teaching for decades in Alexandria, Minnesota, I joined the staff at Henning School for the beginning the 2021-2022 school year. So many new names and faces! I discovered a staff that is passionate about reaching each student, and students that value learning and connecting with others.
After two years as an interventionist for reading and math WIN, I am back in the classroom teaching 1st grade this year. Working alongside enthusiastic young learners is a real treat, and I look forward to each day with them. My teaching style is to model what they should do, and to catch them doing the right thing. I believe in positive affirmations, and helping each child to become and independent learner.
Encouraging people is one of my passions. It is so important that we inspire each other, and keep learning and using the resources that will give us more confidence in our journey.
