Hands-on activity for all ages with local Goeden’s Greenhouse owner, Matt! 

An entertaining and interactive planting presentation exploring how to grow STUNNING flower displays. Great for a family activity with the kids! Also a perfect idea for couples to have a unique date night!

Class fee is $22/person and includes: 3 full sized flowers to plant (customer’s choice), 1 flower pot, soil mix, and fertilizers.

Pre-register and pay at the Henning Public School District Office, 500 School Ave., Henning, MN 56551 one week prior to the start of the class date(s) you choose.

Classes are scheduled for Thursdays, May 8, 15, 22 & June 5 at 6:00 pm at Goeden’s Greenhouse, 203 Inman Street, Henning.

In this class, we’ll discuss why companion planting is a good idea.  Some of the things we’ll explore include insects, shade, smells, soil, flavor, roots, depth, and diseases. Class participants will be able to take home a printout with twenty garden plants that tell what they like or don’t like, and the amount of sun, rain, and soil needed.

Celebrity Makeup Artist Mallory will guide you and help customize an effortless everyday makeup & skincare look that feels like you. This class is perfect for all ages and all levels of makeup or no makeup girlies. Feel free to bring in your own makeup and skincare products and Mallory will give you guidance on how to use what you have or she will recommend anything you may be missing.  Mallory has over 14 years of professional experience in the industry and will be sharing the tips and tricks she’s learned over the years that will give you the best most natural no makeup makeup look. (see her instructor bio below!). The beauty industry is more than just a makeup application for this instructor, it’s also giving each girl/woman a confidence boost, affirmation, and support. 

Instructor Bio:  My passion for the art of makeup came to me at the age of 13. It was then I knew I wanted to use makeup to enhance one’s authentic self and for them to feel beautiful from the inside out. I started to do makeup on others right then and there and haven’t stopped since. I received my Esthetician license and opened up a spa in Fargo, ND and by the age of 20, I pursued my dream of moving to Los Angeles.  My biggest accomplishments have been being a key makeup artist for America’s Next Top Model and being a part of the iconic makeup team of Dancing with the Stars.  I was honored to be chosen to work with the best like Tyra Banks, Selma Blair, Sharna Burgess, Adrianna Costa, Candace Cameron Bure, and more.

We’ll be discussing about two dozen common weeds that are chosen from backyards and fields in our area.  Some things we’ll cover in class include what weeds do, their uses, their dangers, what they look like, and some medical uses.  Weather permitting, we’ll go outside to locate and identify some of the weeds.
